Floats McGoats
Shipwrecked goats. A growing raft. A hungry shark. Somehow, it all works.
In Floats McGoats, a crew of seafaring goats has survived a shipwreck, but just barely. The boat is gone, the ocean is full of floating lumber, and every player is scrambling to build a raft large enough to keep their goats out of the water.
On each turn, players add raft sticks, move goats, trigger special actions, and try to outmaneuver one another while expanding a shared raft. The goal is simple: position your goats inside completed triangles to score points while keeping them safe from rival players and the ever-present shark.
The rules are easy to learn, but the decisions become surprisingly strategic. Should you help expand the raft, knowing your opponents will benefit too? Is it worth risking a goat to claim a better position? And when the shark appears, whose plans are about to fall apart?
Designed for 2–4 players ages 10 and up, Floats McGoats typically plays in 15–30 minutes, making it a great choice for family game nights, lunch breaks, or filling that awkward gap between longer games.
Parents appreciate that the game combines spatial reasoning, planning, and strategy without feeling overly serious. The stackable goats, unpredictable twists, and lighthearted theme keep everyone engaged, while the triangle-building mechanics reward thoughtful play.
It's the rare game that can make kids laugh, adults think, and everyone suddenly care far more about the fate of tiny wooden goats than they ever expected.
