Flower Whistle
The Flower Whistle may look simple, but it gives babies repeated opportunities to discover an important skill: learning that what they do with their mouth creates results.
Designed for babies as young as three months, this soft, chewable whistle creates gentle sounds when babies inhale or exhale, providing immediate feedback that encourages repeated attempts.
Because babies naturally mouth, chew, blow, and experiment with objects, the Flower Whistle can support oral motor development while strengthening the lips, cheeks, tongue, and jaw muscles used for feeding and early speech development.
The whistle produces sound during both inhaling and exhaling. This allows even young babies to experiment successfully. The soft construction is safe for chewing and mouthing, contains no metal or screws, and provides opportunities for sensory exploration through sound, movement, and oral motor practice. How to Use the Flower Whistle
- Offer the Flower Whistle once your baby is comfortably grasping and exploring small toys, usually around 3 months and older.
- Demonstrate how blowing or breathing into the whistle creates sound. Because the whistle responds to both inhaling and exhaling, babies can begin experimenting successfully even before purposeful blowing develops.
- Allow your baby to explore freely. Some babies chew, mouth, wave, or examine the whistle before intentionally creating sounds, and all of those interactions are part of the learning process.
- Short sessions usually work well. Repeated opportunities to explore sound, movement, and oral motor actions naturally build familiarity over time.

Cute and Good for Oral Development

Delightful whistle. My son has had it since he was 5 months old and he really enjoys this little toy. He's 13 months now and still hasn't really gotten how to make the whistle work (only about 3 times now) but he likes the noise and I think it's a very charming cross between a honk and a kazoo, but not nearly as obnoxious sounding. This whistle can be LOUD so be warned! My son has bad lip and tongue ties and this toy is helping him with his oral development.

We purchased this for our 20-month-old as part of a customized Tiny Tots Toddler Kit. Our little guy had some significant oral motor delays, as well as some other difficulties common in preemie. This toy was the perfect tool for helping him master those skills. Now that he has figured out how to make some noise this whistle can be a little loud & crazy at times! That's a relatively minor inconvenience though, when we consider how far he has come!!! As an added bonus, our whole family smiles on the occasions that our little guy joins the "Whirshicken" for concerts via YouTube!
