Art history doesn't have to feel like a slideshow of paintings and dates. Have I Got a Story For You! brings the Renaissance to life through engaging storytelling, memorable characters, and hands-on activities that help students connect with some of history's most influential artists.
Designed for students in grades 1–8, this unique art history course combines twelve 20–30 minute video lessons with coordinated lesson plans that explore the people, artwork, and cultural impact of the Renaissance. Along the way, students meet artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael while learning how their work shaped the world of art.
A cheerful animated paint drop named Gasfy guides students through the lessons, adding humor and helping make complex ideas more approachable for younger learners. Parents will also appreciate that all video content is presented at a G-rated level. Even Renaissance artwork containing nudity has been carefully edited for family viewing.
Each lesson extends beyond the screen with discussion questions, vocabulary development, writing activities, geography connections, history exploration, and hands-on art projects. These cross-curricular activities help students retain what they've learned while encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

How to Use Have I Got a Story For You!
- Plan to complete one lesson every 2–3 weeks. Each lesson includes a 20–30-minute video along with discussion questions, cross-curricular activities, and hands-on art projects, making it easy to spread the learning over multiple days.
- Start by watching the video together. The engaging storytelling introduces students to Renaissance artists, artwork, and history in a way that's accessible for a wide range of ages.
- After the video, choose one or more activities from the lesson plan. You might complete an art project, explore a geography connection, tackle a writing assignment, or discuss the critical-thinking questions together. There's no need to do every activity—pick the ones that best fit your family and schedule.
- For multi-age families, watch the lessons together and then allow each child to complete activities at an appropriate level. The flexible format works especially well for siblings, homeschool co-ops, and small groups.
- Many families find that the videos are worth revisiting. Rewatch a favorite lesson and try a different art project or extension activity on the second pass.

Fun Art Curriculum

My kids have been enjoying Higasfy art. The stories are really interesting and bring famous artwork to life. Even some older siblings have started watching the episodes and doing the art projects along with the younger siblings. The lesson plans are great to enhance the study. You could easily go through this more than once a year or over different school years and do different projects or follow different "avenues" of learning. We are looking forward to continuing this series.

Educational, Informative, and Fun

This series was very educational, informative, and fun for my kids. It’s their favorite subject of home school and always look forward to the new lessons. The stories made my kids understand not only the paintings and artists, but also appreciate history throughout the presentations. They ask to visit certain museums to see the artworks mentioned in the series and tell their friends stories behind the artwork as well.
