iBrick takes a different approach. Using a single LEGO-compatible kit and a 12-month subscription, your child tackles a new engineering challenge each week. One week, he might build a vehicle. The next, a machine, animal, or moving creation that requires testing, adjusting, and trying again.
Designed for ages 9–12, iBrick combines hands-on building with guided STEM learning. Weekly videos, building instructions, and engineering challenges encourage your child to think like a designer—asking questions, solving problems, and improving ideas rather than simply following directions.
You'll get access to the subscription within a few days of ordering. From there, a new project unlocks every week for a full 12 months of STEM adventures. With fresh content arriving throughout the year, the included bricks stay in constant use instead of ending up forgotten in a bin.

How to Use iBrick
- Get started as soon as your digital access and kit arrive. The subscription lasts a full 12 months, so you can jump in mid-school year or over the summer. If you'd rather delay the start of access, email iBrick support to request your start date.
- Plan to complete one engineering challenge each week. Each lesson includes instructional content, building directions, and an engineering activity designed to extend learning beyond simply following a set of instructions.
- Encourage your child to watch the video and complete the build before attempting the challenge. The engineering tasks often require testing ideas, making adjustments, and trying multiple solutions.
- Allow time for experimentation. Not every design will work perfectly on the first attempt, and much of the learning comes from analyzing results and improving a design.
- Working through one challenge each week provides a full year of hands-on STEM learning while steadily building problem-solving, engineering, and critical-thinking skills.

No, each subscription is tailored specifically for the age range it is intended for, so your builder receives age-appropriate content that still challenges their skills.
Good news! You do not. Just add an iBrick blocks-only set and you'll have two sets of blocks running on one subscription. Our twins used iBrick together last year, and now the cousins plan to do the same. (Same goes if you're starting two kids close in age this year — one kit, one subscription, plus a blocks-only set for the second builder.)
That'll depend on your kids and your priorities. We found our boys went at different paces at different times. One is more detail-oriented and wants every block placed precisely right. The other is more big-picture: "I get the idea, I'm sure this is good enough." If an easy morning were our only goal, each working alone would be simplest. But then we'd have really missed out on the bigger life skills of waiting on and accommodating each other, not to mention the fun of seeing them help each other through the tricky bits, or improvise together after the lessons. So we highly recommend approaching it as a family project when you can, but each child will need his own brick set to really do so.

This kit was even better and more enjoyable than I expected. My daughter has really liked all the projects so far and they are just the right level of challenge for her - not too easy but definitely not frustrating either. The STEM lessons for each project are the real value-add. We're both learning a lot from this kit. I never knew why Formula 1 race cars are designed the way they are, but this kit explains it all! I like how some projects use the motor but some do not. I'm really impressed with the variety of builds we are putting together too.

Got this for my 9 yr old son who loves Legos and building with gears. Him and his dad love it and look forward every week to creating something new! It's a great bonding time for them. I love how the website is laid out and the online tutorial is easy to follow and engaging. The box it's kept in easily stores and organizes all his parts and helps him to be more organized to easily start the next project. It's definitely worth the money if your kid is into Legos and building!
