Lab Kit for Exploring Creation with Botany
Growing plants is easy. Gathering all the specialty supplies for hands-on botany experiments is another matter. This lab kit brings together the harder-to-find materials for Exploring Creation with Botany (2nd Edition), so you're ready for each activity as it appears in the curriculum.
The kit includes more than 20 specialty items, including a grow light, lamp cord, peat moss, flower pots, seeds, balloons, a magnifier, and many other experiment materials. (See the Details tab for the complete list.) You'll still provide a few common household supplies, but the unusual pieces have already been gathered and are ready to use.
As your child explores seeds, roots, leaves, pollination, fungi, photosynthesis, and other botanical topics, he'll complete more than 75 hands-on activities and projects, including creating a nature journal, building a light hut, preserving flowers, growing edible mushrooms, designing a garden plan, and making a tree field guide. Each investigation reinforces the concepts in the text while encouraging careful observation and a deeper appreciation for God's remarkable plant kingdom.
Designed specifically for Exploring Creation with Botany (2nd Edition), this parent-led lab kit helps keep experiments organized and easy to prepare, so you can spend less time gathering supplies and more time growing, observing, and discovering together. The kit contains small parts and materials not intended for children under 12 to use independently, is non-returnable, and does not include supplies for the Chapter 4 Hummingbird Feeder, Chapter 6 Leaf Preservation, Chapter 13 Moss Growth, or Chapter 14 Composter Build activities.

Mostly in one place
Karina A.
I like having most of the materials in one place for our science. The first time I taught Botany to my oldest we had to locate all of the materials ourselves, so it's definitely more convenient to have a ready-made kit. It doesn't have everything we need, but it does have most things.

Convenient!

We love this science curriculum, and this teacher loves the ability to be able to conveniently pull out whatever we need when we need it. Thank you for offering this to busy teachers!

Convenient and worth it!

This is the first year I have LOVED and looked forward to teaching science. I’m so glad we tried Apologia Botany this year. The lab kit is such a great supplement and worth the money to me so I am not running around collecting every little supply for lab time! I have previous not loved doing science because with other lab kits all the little components (along with finding baking soda, borax, 4 cotton balls, etc!) are so annoying to find and then clean up after and this kit is SO MUCH EASIER. The curriculum (sold separately) makes it so easy to just grab what’s needed out of the kit (this item) and easily set up and clean up. Game changer for me!!
