The lab kit contains over 30 of the items you may not, or likely would not, have around the house. You will still need to gather a few things from around the house, like a few standard office supplies, some kitchen items, balls, etc. You may also have to buy food items, but trust us, this is a good thing. You do not want a kit shipped to your house full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs that were sitting on a warehouse shelf. However, for the things you would have to pick up at the craft store, hobby store, and/or superstore, this handy kit has virtually all of them in just the quantities you'll need to complete your experiments. This kit leaves out some optional items that you may want to purchase if you choose to complete certain experiments.
Note: This kit is designed to be used by a parent or teacher with a child. It is not intended for use by children 12 and under unsupervised. Plus, you'll have so much fun with things like "Making a Hydrometer and Growing Plants without Soil," why wouldn't you want to join in?
