Little Red Riding Hood
The idea is simple: you have a girl, her grandmother’s house, and some obstacles - in this case, trees. The object of Little Red Riding Hood is to connect the girl and the house using flower-strewn tiles to create paths. However, the house has 3 doors so it’s not always obvious what door you are connecting to. Add in a very hungry wolf needing a path of his own and the difficulty level increases. Little Red Riding Hood game includes a picture book with the story of Red Riding Hood.

If you would like to know a little more about the game, the creator of the game shares the story behind the creation of the game here.

From the Manufacturer:
Find the path to Grandma’s house! Can you lay all the pieces on the board so that you build a path for Little Red Riding Hood to reach Grandma’s house?

Then you can play the game with the Wolf! But beware, he might get there faster! Try to solve these challenges by making two paths to Grandma’s House: one for Little Red Riding Hood, and one for the Wolf.

Little Red Riding Hood includes 48 challenges (24 with the Wolf and 24 without) also features a family-friendly picture book with a modern twist on the original story.

Little Red Riding Hood Review by Flanders Family

review by Flanders Family Homelife

”In an age where so much of children’s education and entertainment is taking place on a screen... I am grateful for hands-on games and puzzles like Little Red Riding Hood that keep my kids happily occupied and mentally engaged without the use of a digital babysitter.”

Fun

It is so nice to have some fun interludes during our week that just involve play, and this game definitely does that, my son looked forward to playing these on his own and showing me the results at the end.

Little Red Riding Hood: Old Classic that Make You Think!

The Little Red Riding Hood Smart Games game gives easy to hard challenges that really make your youngster or you think! I used this as part of my 5-year old’s Kindergarten curriculum about once a week and we used it the whole year. It was fun to have read the story of Little Red Riding Hood for Language Arts and then play this game for Thinking Skills—making those connections can be thought-provoking for children. I also liked the graphic book of Little Red Riding Hood that came with the game. There are only pictures, so the children can make up the story! My 5-year-old seemed to “get” these challenges quicker than the Smart Farmer game, but they were still challenging. I would recommend this game to others!

Fun for Everyone

We have gotten so much use out of the Little Red Riding Hood game. Our children were 3 and 6 when we purchased this game, and both enjoy solving puzzles of varying difficulty. The game increases in difficulty and ages well with the children so it isn't like many games in which the children lose interest as they age. The grown ups in our house even enjoy solving the difficulty puzzles. Our whole family benefits from the spatial reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving that are required to help red and the wolf get to grandma's house. Good wholesome fun!
