How to Use My First Magformers
- Start by showing your toddler how to match the magnetic shapes to the outlines on the large, double-sided activity mats. Those first successful matches build confidence while introducing colors, shapes, and spatial awareness.
- Once he's comfortable, open the spiral activity book and work through the matching challenges together. Begin with the simplest activities and gradually move to the more detailed designs. Before long, your child will be combining shapes to create flowers, animals, and other colorful pictures.
- When he's ready for an extra challenge, pull out the challenge cards. These encourage careful observation, problem-solving, and the satisfaction that comes from figuring things out independently.
- Be sure to leave plenty of time for open-ended building, too. Towers, rockets, robots, houses, and completely mysterious creations are all part of the fun. Some of the richest learning happens when your child experiments without instructions.

Great quality, but not a favorite

The My First Magformers set is great quality with strong magnets, vibrant color, and a handbook with building ideas. With that being said, I'm disappointed my son doesn't reach for them more often. He's just not that interested in building anything. I'm hoping he grows into them and uses them more with time.
