    Colorful and visual

    Kristen F.

My daughter likes how the pieces are different color which helps her to visualize the math problems. I like how the pieces are divided into sections for easy storage in its own carrying case.

    Block set

    Hayes

Honestly, the best part of Math U See is the block set. My kids will pull them out to play them for fun more than they actually used them with Math U See.

    Blocks!

    Sabrina P.

Love that these are hands on for my child who needs something in his hands. Also note there are online videos if you do not have a dvd player.

These are awesome manipulative for helping my kids better understand math! We are loving the whole MUS curriculum, and my son really enjoys the blocks.

    Blocks

    Sasha R.

My daughter 9 years young loves using these block to help her through her math. Also my kinders love playing with them as well. Hopefully we can start counting with them as well soon.

    Fun blocks

    Melanie

My daughter likes working with the blocks when she needs to to learn a new concept, although she generally doesn't need them for long. They help with visualizing what you're doing on the paper. We used an abacus for a bit with another program, and incorporated that with the blocks for awhile, as one worked better than the other for certain types of problems. The blocks are fun to play with, too.

    Well worth it

    Lauren

This is a critical part of the math u see program. It’s an investment. Once you have it, you will not need to buy it again. The next year, you will just need the books. Well worth it to understand math concepts.

    Necessary!

    Jessica

These seem pricey but are necessary to the Math-U-See curriculum! They are very well made and will last you throughout the years of math and there are enough to be used by multiple students at once!

    Excellent

    Amy

This manipulative kit is critical for the Math U See program going as smoothly as possible. The size has been good for little hands, matches up perfectly with the worksheets, and the color system is memorable and seems to make learning the math facts a lot quicker. These double as a really fun toy for my crew, who beg to play with them once math lessons are over. They hold up well for that, too. They are a bit of an investment upfront -- my only complaint -- but something we can use year after year for multiple kids. I'd also note that, despite Timberdoodle's note about the packaging being flimsy, we've found the cardboard box and plastic insert to be sufficient for storage for us, now on our third year of lots of use.
