PreCalculus serves as the bridge between Algebra 2 and Calculus, bringing together advanced algebraic concepts, trigonometry, and mathematical analysis into a unified study of higher-level mathematics.
In this course, students develop a deeper understanding of functions, limits, domains, ranges, sequences, series, and vectors while expanding their ability to analyze complex mathematical relationships. Significant emphasis is placed on trigonometry, including trigonometric functions, inverse trigonometric functions, identities, radians, polar coordinates, and graphing.
Students also explore logarithmic and exponential functions, Euler's number, the Laws of Sines and Cosines, and other concepts that form the foundation for future calculus studies. Throughout the course, they learn to connect ideas from previous math courses while developing stronger analytical and problem-solving skills.
Like all Math-U-See levels, PreCalculus follows a mastery-based approach, introducing concepts incrementally and emphasizing understanding before moving on. Clear video instruction, worked examples, and systematic practice help students build confidence as they tackle increasingly sophisticated mathematical concepts.
Instructional videos and teacher resources are accessed through Math-U-See's Essential Plan. Each subscription includes 2 course credits, supports up to 5 student seats, and provides access to activated levels for one year.

Math-U-See has transitioned from lifetime access to a one-year subscription for its digital resources, including instructional videos and the online teacher manual.
This new subscription provides digital access for two levels and up to five students. Depending on your family’s needs, this may offer more flexibility than the previous level-by-level lifetime access model.
One of the strengths of this plan is its flexibility. Your students are not locked into a single level. If a student finishes a level early or needs to go back and review an earlier one, you can swap a course credit to a different level right from your dashboard, up to once every 30 days. Because the plan includes two credits, a family with two students in different levels can often cover both with one subscription. When a student is ready to move up, you simply purchase the physical materials for the next level and swap the credit. As long as your subscription is active, there is no new subscription to buy to keep going.

Just getting started with this book/course. So far, so good.

This is my first year to use a Math-U-See product. So far, my son (a junior in high school) is enjoying the program. The video is well taught and helpful. I have just one complaint- the instruction book used by the student has all the answers to the assignments and tests. Although I understand that the author wants the students to check their work, I think the test answers should not be at the student's fingertips. I am not always home to monitor his work, so I may need to rip the book in half as a solution.

Received it quickly. This will be our second year with Math-U-See. We found a curriculum my kids like and understand. We are excited For PreCaculus. We started today and it went well.
