Each kit comes with five tins of clear putty, three dazzling color concentrates, and three out-of-this-world special effects:

Using the included mixing mat and a little imagination, your child can combine color and effects to create his own signature putty blends. He can even name and label each one!

This was the first thing my son wanted to open when our curriculum kits arrived. We have used the putty everyday since! He uses it to practice his spelling word by making them out of the putty, he plays with the putty while I read history to him, he has also used it in a few science experiments. This is hands down my son's favorite and most used item!

Kids loved making their own colors. Putty is already made so you aren't actually making any putty just mixing color into it. Kids thought that was fun...but it will stick to anything soft.

First off, my son loved this and perhaps that's all that matters. It was easy to mix, not messy, fun to draw labels and create your own names. The only reason I didn't like it was the quality was not the same as the regular thinking putty. It seems a little more gummy. Not bad, just not the same. Overall it was fun and my son loved it, but it just wasn't the same.

Fun but very small putties

The mix kit was thorough, fun, included other related activities. Really great. Only complaint is that the end product is five VERY small tins of custom putty. Like a tablespoon or two sized dollop. Not a satisfying handful that the kiddos crave.
