My Pals Are Here! International Science Grade 1
My Pals Are Here! International Science Grade 1 brings science to life with bright photos, smart questions, and just enough mess to keep things interesting—without turning your kitchen into a lab. Your first grader will explore ten lively units, from "Caring for My Body" to "Pushes and Pulls," through colorful worktexts, hands-on activities, and brain-boosting challenges. Rooted in Singapore's tried-and-true 5E method (engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate), this program builds real thinking skills while keeping the pace parent-friendly.
You'll guide your child through biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science using three simple books: a full-color textbook, a black-and-white activity book, and a teacher's guide that spells out exactly what to say and do (materials list included—no late-night supply runs required). Each lesson feels fresh and purposeful, with creative art-based exercises, short reviews, and friendly unit tests that help cement what your child has learned.
You don't need a science background—just a little time, a willingness to chat, and maybe a few paper towels. Two lessons a week is all it takes to finish this course in a year and give your budding scientist a rock-solid foundation.

MPH Science does require frequent parental involvement, regardless of the grade being taught. Parents will need to oversee experiments, explain concepts, and answer questions. Thankfully, everything you require is covered in the Teacher's Guides; you do not need a strong science background. Corresponding pages of the textbook and activity book are referenced. Any other resources or materials you may need are cited. They have even suggested how much time is necessary for every step of each lesson.
