My Pals Are Here! Science 2

Second graders notice everything. My Pals Are Here! Science 2 gives them a place to put those observations while keeping science manageable for parents.

Across 11 units, your child explores topics such as magnets, shadows, sound, seasons, plants, animals, air, and materials through lessons that connect everyday experiences with scientific ideas.

Built around Singapore’s 5E approach—engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate—the program encourages children to ask questions, make observations, test ideas, and explain what they notice.

The program uses three components: a full-color textbook, an activity book, and a teacher guide that provides lesson support, teaching suggestions, pacing help, and materials lists.

Lessons combine discussion, written activities, hands-on experiences, illustrations, and review exercises to reinforce biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science concepts without relying on complicated experiments.

Each unit concludes with reviews, assessments, glossaries, and opportunities to revisit important ideas before moving on.

The structure remains intentionally parent-friendly. Most families complete the program comfortably with two lessons each week.
