My Pals Are Here! International Science Grade 6
By sixth grade, science becomes less about collecting facts and more about understanding systems, relationships, and evidence. My Pals Are Here! International Science Grade 6 builds on earlier years by asking students to think more carefully about increasingly complex ideas.
Across multiple units, students explore biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science through topics like reproduction, heredity, heat transfer, natural disasters, soil, cells, the water cycle, and more.
Built around Singapore’s 5E approach—engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate—the program encourages students to investigate questions, interpret information, support conclusions, and apply scientific thinking more independently.
The program uses three components: a full-color textbook, a consumable activity book, and a teacher guide that provides lesson support, pacing suggestions, materials lists, and answer keys.
Lessons combine reading, discussion, written responses, illustrations, activities, and hands-on experiences while placing increasing emphasis on explanation, analysis, and application.
As topics become larger and more interconnected, students spend more time evaluating evidence, discussing relationships between concepts, and supporting their reasoning.
The structure remains intentionally parent-friendly while gradually shifting more responsibility toward the student.
This level moves science beyond learning how systems work and begins asking students to explain why they work the way they do.
