"These are great pencils for new writers. They are adorable and write well. My 4 year old has an easy time holding them and using them. The are just right!"
My First Pencils
You match your gardening or household tools to the age of your child. Likewise, My First Pencils are calibrated to better fit the size of your child's hands.
Made to scale for your younger child, My First Pencils lessen the strain on his hand and provide better control of the pencil. My First Pencils are large and pre-sharpened for writing and drawing. My First Pencil's 2B graphite core is wider than standard pencils, so they should not need sharpening as often, but a sharpener is included in the package. The larger diameter of the pencil is more comfortable for your child to use, and the stocky erasers on the ends dispatch mistakes quickly. More comfort and better control with My First Pencils means improved fluency and legibility for your child.

”The pencils are a great size for small hands that are still growing and you get 5 of them. They are bigger than regular sized pencils so they are easy for kids to hold onto.”
”Percy (four years old) has been using these for a couple of months. Here is what I have observed. First off, Percy (and little brother Monty) love these pencils. Percy calls them “my special pencils” and always chooses them to write or draw with. Percy finds these easy to grasp and enjoys the colorful designs.”
”Guiding children through handwriting can be quite difficult. For parents searching for handwriting workbooks and pencils for their children, I would absolutely recommend Channie’s My First Pencils and My First Letters. We have had a great experience thus far, and will continue practicing with the workbook and pencils.”
”My six-year-old needed the extra practice, and he truly gravitated toward these worksheets. I realized that he appreciated the simplicity of it. Even though he is working on more difficult work in his other subjects, having this remedial work available for him was therapeutic because it was easy and fun. Please don't tell him that it really was work! He truly looked at it as a fun activity book!”
