My First Stickers: Birds

My First Stickers — Birds includes 62 large, colorful bird stickers designed for toddlers ages 18 months and up. Made especially for little hands, these stickers give even young toddlers a chance to enjoy peeling and sticking with minimal help.

Unlike ordinary stickers that require a fingernail—and usually an adult—to pry off a sheet, these have thick, easy-grasp shapes and perforated backing paper that makes peeling much easier. Your child can peel, position, press, and reposition the stickers himself, practicing fine motor control and hand-eye coordination as he works.

Add a sheet of paper and those birds can become a first collage, a made-up scene, or an excuse to practice colors and bird names. There's no set picture to complete, so your child can use the birds to decorate his own drawings, cards, or anything else that needs a little feathered company.

They're handy for restaurants, waiting rooms, travel, or homeschool time when you're working with an older sibling and your littlest wants something to do, too. The stickers can be lifted and repositioned, giving your child a chance to adjust his creations, although they may become less sticky with repeated handling.

One small parent reminder: your toddler may be ready to handle the stickers himself, but if he's still tasting everything he touches, you'll want to stay close by.
