My Story and the World Around Me 1

My Story 1 is a twice-a-week adventure-based social studies course. It will gently introduce your first-grader to cultures in other parts of the world, citizenship, geography, and economics. He will explore the world through four different quests while hearing how deep God’s love is toward us. He will also be learning to love God and people more. 

My Story 1 is packed with information, colorful worksheets, beautiful photography, flashcards, and art ideas. The focus is not on rote memory of facts and figures. Instead, the goal of My Story 1 is to familiarize your first-grader with the full scope of social studies. There is no teacher guide, all instruction is built into the program, and it is scripted toward the child. Each lesson is short and manageable, perfect for this age group.
