My Year Around the World

My Year Around the World combines geography, culture, creative writing, and journaling into a yearlong exploration of fascinating places and traditions from around the globe. Through 365 engaging prompts, students discover unique locations, customs, landmarks, celebrations, and everyday experiences while creating a personalized record of their journey.

The prompts are delightfully unpredictable. One day students may be designing a traditional cuckoo clock inspired by Germany's Black Forest, while the next they're exploring Thailand's monkey festivals, imagining life on Japan's Cat Island, or learning about remarkable places and traditions they may never have encountered before. The activities feel more like invitations to explore than assignments to complete.

Each prompt introduces an interesting destination, cultural practice, historical fact, or geographical feature before inviting students to respond through writing, drawing, sketching, brainstorming, or creative reflection.
