Shape Makers challenges your child to transform flat pictures into three-dimensional wooden structures, building the spatial reasoning skills used in engineering, architecture, and design.
Inside the box are 40 solid wooden pieces, 24 challenge cards, and four building boards, allowing up to four players to solve puzzles at the same time. Each challenge begins with a simple 2-D illustration. Your child studies the picture, then recreates it by arranging and stacking the wooden pieces until the finished structure matches the design.
The puzzles become progressively more challenging as new shapes, rotations, and stacking combinations are introduced. Early challenges build confidence, while later ones encourage careful observation, flexible thinking, and the ability to visualize how a flat image translates into a three-dimensional object.

How to Use Shape Makers
- Give each player a building board and spread the wooden pieces within easy reach. Choose one of the 24 challenge cards and insert the two matching picture cards into the board. Together, they show the 2-D structure your child will recreate.
- Before placing any pieces, study the picture and identify the bottom layer. Determining what is on that base often makes it easier to visualize the rest of the structure.
- Build the design one layer at a time, rotating and repositioning pieces as needed until the finished model matches the challenge. Don't be surprised if several attempts are needed—experimenting with different arrangements is part of the learning.
- Compare the completed structure with the challenge cards, make any needed adjustments, and then move on to the next puzzle. The challenges gradually increase in difficulty, helping your child steadily develop stronger spatial reasoning and visualization skills.
- Play cooperatively, race to complete the same challenge, or let each player work independently. However you use it, each new puzzle provides another opportunity to strengthen logical thinking through hands-on building.
