Our Beginnings Never Know Our Ends

The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible is a beautiful text that will capture the heart and minds of the littlest of God's children. Spirituality is part of the growth process and just as important as the physical, mental, and emotional development of the child. The Gospel Story Bible guides little ones from the very beginnings of God's love and concern to the promise kept by God's Son Jesus. Hope is the theme running through the text. Just because these concepts are abstract in nature, it should not deter families to begin teaching their children about faith. The illustrations are beautifully and thoughtfully designed. We are using Gospel time on a weekly basis in conjunction with art and manipulatives. Hermeneutically centered, Gospel time gives parents the opportunity of telling the story behind the text (how life was), the story (the text itself) , and the thoughtful reflection questions after the story (in front of the text) as application in their lives. As having a Masters in Religious Education, I highly recommend this wonderful journey to enrich the spiritual life of your little one. It is a great beginning for foundational spirituality.
