Tiny Polka Dot is a math card game system designed to help children build number sense through hands-on play.
Using colorful dot cards and simple games, children practice counting, matching, comparing quantities, early arithmetic, and math facts while working with cards they can see and manipulate.
Designed for ages 3–8, the deck includes 66 colorful cards and instructions for 16 different games that gradually increase in difficulty as children grow.
Children can begin with simple activities such as matching dots, comparing quantities, or recognizing numbers before moving toward games that introduce skip counting, addition, number relationships, and mental math.

Appreciate the Flexibility

I am appreciative of this game. It has a few options for game play for the six-year-old that even the three-year-old can join in on. I appreciate that it subtly teaches subatizing without the six-year-old realizing it. Many of the "games" are too easy for the six-year-old, but we found memory to be the happy medium for the six-year-old and the three-year-old. It teaches the older one subatizing and practice with working memory, while teaching the younger the basics of taking turns and reinforcing numbers and counting. I plan to do the memory option for the six-year-old where we have to find the addends that equal a particular sum to work on addition facts. Subtraction facts will be more limited as the numbers only go to 10. What i would enjoy seeing: I wish they had an expansion pack that went up to 20, but this is still a good quality game without it. I would definitely buy it again. The six-year-old appreciated the sturdiness and shape of the cards. They definitely make for easier handling. I was debating between this game and "Jump +1" and I am glad I chose this one. Key ages seem to be 3-7

Every Math Class and Home Should Have This

I was a tad skeptical of the game but I'm a firm believer in play based learning at this age so I went ahead and purchased Tiny Polka Dot thinking making math fun and based on playing a game would be helpful. Helpful is too mild a word. I have watched my sons math abilities bloom and flourish due to the games in this little square box. These games have been critical in helping my son learn to subitize numbers (being able to recognize the quantity of a group without having to count) up to 10. It has really given my son foundational number sense, teaching him that a number actually *means* something and is not just a figure like a sight word to be memorized without knowing the meaning behind it. It has also helped with his addition fluency to 5 and 10. There are several games in this box of varying difficulties and age appropriateness. The whole family could get in on these games if you have kids of multiple ages, preschool to first or second grade. I really believe more kids would be better at and understand math better if they had access to this game. Thank you Timberdoodle for introducing Tiny Polka Dot to our home.

This game came with several options for how to play which were great. My kiddo also came up with ways she enjoyed playing with the cards. It was a great way to really help her grasp that the digit meant the same as that number of objects and set her up for a solid start into elementary school math.

Wonderful range of games and challenges. My pre-K child is totally happy playing the easier games, and they’re helping her with quick number recognition. And my second grader who isn’t super strong in math is gaining from the more challenging game options.

Learn the concept of amount to number

I wish I knew about this game when he was three, it helped him click on relating the amount to the number so fast compared to other ways I have tried. Definitely recommend this product!
