What’s Inside Me? is a preschool anatomy book that introduces how the human body works through simple explanations and illustrated examples.
It works well for young children who ask a lot of "how" and "why" questions and want clear, visual answers. The book walks through topics like digestion, muscles, bones, and the heart in a way that feels understandable without oversimplifying.
Each spread shows how a part of the body works—how food moves through the body, how muscles help with movement, and what keeps the heart beating. The illustrations carry much of the explanation, making it easier for your child to follow along and make connections.
The tone stays light and approachable, using visuals and simple language instead of technical terms. That keeps your child engaged while still building a basic understanding of anatomy.
There is no gender-related content.
It’s a natural starting point for children who are curious about their bodies and want answers they can actually follow.
A few pages include simple movement or yoga-style poses as part of the explanations.

Great Quality!

What's Inside Me is a great quality Usborne book. My little one loves to lift each flap and discuss the pages, although he's a little young to understand each concept. We look at it a few times a week. It's a great starting point for learning about the body!
