How to Use Wrap-Ups
- Wrap-Ups are designed for practice, not initial instruction. Once your child understands the concept, these portable math tools provide an engaging way to build speed, accuracy, and confidence with math facts.
- Start with the first key and have your child complete it several times during the week. As he becomes comfortable, introduce the next key while continuing to review earlier ones. This gradual approach helps facts become automatic without feeling overwhelming.
- Show your child how to wrap the string from each problem on the left to the matching answer on the right. It may take a little practice at first, but most children quickly get the hang of it.
- Because Wrap-Ups are compact and portable, they can go almost anywhere. Keep them in the car, tuck them into a backpack, bring them to appointments, or pull them out during independent work time. A few minutes of practice here and there can add up quickly.

My autistic son would get the red string wrapped up and stuck in weird ways. I had to spend a lot of time trouble shooting and unknotting this. His busy fingers just kept messing with it in ways it was not intended to be used. So it did not work for our needs and we went with flashcards instead.

These are great for multiplication practice and keeping my son sharp with these skills. He is able to use them weekly and independently, easily checking his answers and self correcting as he goes! Wrap-Ups are a great tool to practice math facts! My son received the Multiplication wrap-up in his third grade kit. It doesn't feel like we are pulling out the flashcards, and yet it provides the same type of practice. I also love that they are self-correcting.

Useful tool for practice and review

I love having a variety of tools to turn to for practice and review facts. This is a unique one that all my kids have enjoyed. We have addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and have found them useful for many ages and stages. The string does tend to fray at the end, which is a bit annoying, but not the end of the world. If it could be replaced or didn't fray to begin with, this wold get 5 stars!

A Non-Written Way to Drill - Hooray!

Kids benefit from drill but it often is drudgery or involves tons of writing - wrapups are such a delightful way to drill facts without wearing out little hands, boring busy bodies, or requiring moms presence (a lifesaver with multiple kids in school!). My kids know that if they need me and I'm working with a sibling, to let me know and then grab their wrap ups to get their drill work done. They enjoy completing their drill work AND are making progress this way.

This has been great for when we go on car rides because my son can verbally do the math problems and I can hear the answers but he is able to self check when he has finished.
