This is a great workbook for preschool age children. I’m using it 5 days a week in addition to my own math lessons that I’ve made for my son. I personally feel like most of the material is too simple for my son, so I’m very excited to start the Kindergarten level math with him. Nevertheless, it’s still a great introduction to basic math for children who haven’t had much exposure to it before.

This was my pre-k 4 daughters first introduction to real math. Prior to starting formal school this year, we worked with her on counting 1-20, learning shapes, and colors, which were all really helpful when starting this book and she actually finished it in just under 1 month and has now since solidified all of these concepts! Having the base of numbers/shapes/colors was immensely helpful, but the book does teach these concepts in a way that you can teach them to children that do not already know as they are all used throughout the book. I really love the colors. It's bright and engaging but not overwhelming. There were 2-3 concepts that (I personally) felt a little advanced for a 4 year old (I can't even remember them so not a big deal) but 99% of the book felt like a mix of learning, reasonable challenges, and awesome review to really solidify the concepts. Lastly I really enjoyed the spiral review. I honestly didn't realize I would like it so much, but every so often it would bring back content that she struggled with and it would click for her right away. It was confidence boosting for both her and I to see things starting to click for her.

My 4 year old son is enjoying this math book. He was learning about squares today and how each side must be the same length. The grid helped him to understand that concept better. I like that each page has only one or 2 problems on it and focuses on one key concept. I'd recommend this to others with a child in Pre-K.

This is probably the best math cirriculum I can find for preschoolers so well done Timberdoodle for selecting this for their PreK box. My son has developed a real love of math thanks to Beginning 1 and 2. The instructions are simple, explain the concepts well, and I love the spiral learning style where all concepts come up eventually again and again for review while getting slightly more challenging along the way. A very fun book that my son enjoys immensely.

These are fun little math puzzles and they go by quick so my kiddo doesn’t get frustrated or bored. the concepts are all lumped together and i wish they spiraled a bit more but i guess you could go out of order.

I got this for my 4 year old because she was always begging to do school like her big brother. I like that the activities are pretty mixed up so she’s practicing and reviewing the concepts without it being super repetitive. There are also logic puzzles mixed in that get her thinking. I like that it introduces counting and adding/ subtracting in different ways visually so that she understands the concept vs just numbers. We are able to complete multiple pages at a time. I like how there are numbers to trace at the bottom of most of the pages so my daughter can make sure she’s writing the numbers correctly and not backwards. She loves the colorful pictures and different activities. We do incorporate other types of resources and math practice, but this workbook covers a lot so it’s probably not necessary. I would definitely recommend this for preschoolers!
