What Our Customers Have To Say

When we started this book we were just starting our homeschooling process with our oldest child. At first, I was worried it was too advanced for her even though it was listed as age appropriate. What I found was that I did not realize how smart toddlers really are! I didn’t anticipate my child wanting to sit through work books nor did I think I would see such advancements in such little time. The Building Thinking Skills book did a great job going hand in hand with the Mathematical Reasoning book. I watched her make connections between the two books and it went the perfect pace for practice then amping things up to the next level. At the beginning, I would over explain the instructions believing that it was too hard for her to comprehend, but I quickly saw the gears turning with little or no explanation other than what the instructions provided. A five star review is absolutely deserved here.

    Great Logical Thinking

    S. B.

I used this book with my pre-k 4 daughter and it was fun for her to do and definitely in her wheelhouse. It's not overly difficult but really makes them think. My only con is we used it alongside Mathematical Reasoning Beginning 2 and there is a lot of overlap in the skills they learn. She finished MR fairly quickly and this book became kind of obsolete because there weren't any new concepts in it. If your kiddo isn't quite ready for math yet, I think this would be a great introduction.

    Hours of work and entertainment

This book has literally...everything...you could want or hope to teach your preschooler. I mean it covers ALL of the topics and then some. There is so much to cover and a lot to do in this book. My son struggles with workbook stuff but he is amenable to Building Thinking Skills. The title of this book is on point, it definitely teaches critical thinking. Hopefully it helps my son build in this department along with following directions. I like it very much.

    Family favorite

This is a fantastic book to grow my youngest students' critical thinking skills. The artwork leaves something to be desired at times, but that is it's only down-side!

    Not my kid's favorite

    kathrine p.

Not my kid's favorite item to complete each day. While I quite like how it teaches, my daughter isn't a big fan. I think it has more to do with the amount of things on each page. Just may be a bit too much for her. I have started to cover parts of each page or draw the shapes on a white board to help entice her to finish a lesson which has helped alot.

    great workbook

    Bina

This workbook is a great gentle way to introduce critical thinking for preschoolers, we didn't start this after a month or so of starting school.

Critical thinking was not strong, now it is.

    Tiffany C.

My son struggled with critical thinking and understanding basic instructions. This book has helped immensely with that. He enjoys the pages, works through them quickly so there is no frustration. I can't wait to start the next book!

a bit difficult - started later

    Bina

This book is such a great addition to our homeschool work. We started light, and we're still just doing about 1-3 pages a week (3 months in). Some of the concepts just aren't connecting so we wait, and will try to introduce it the following week.
