How to Use Easy Grammar
- Plan on completing one lesson each school day. Most lessons take only 10–15 minutes, making Easy Grammar an easy addition to your language arts routine.
- Begin by teaching and reviewing the prepositions. This step is the foundation of the Easy Grammar method, and taking the time to master it will make future grammar concepts much easier to understand.
- Have your child complete the daily exercises independently when possible, then review the work together or use the answer key for self-correction. The short lessons and frequent review help concepts stick without requiring long grammar sessions.
- Administer a test after every ten lessons using the Test Book. These assessments provide a simple way to monitor progress and identify concepts that may need additional practice.
- If your child struggles with a concept, don't worry about moving slowly. Easy Grammar is designed with plenty of repetition, allowing students to revisit and reinforce skills throughout the year.

Great curriculum

This was really helpful in teaching grammar and I’m glad that I found it for my child. The author really stresses memorizing the list of prepositions before starting which took a bit of time, but really helped. We followed the advice of another review that suggested using black construction paper to cover the answer key so we didn’t have to purchase an additional separate book and it worked great!

The Easy Grammar series has been the best option I have found for teaching my children grammar lessons that really stick. The premise of this series always starts with memorizing the prepositions - something I recall doing in private school as a child. It worked for me and works well today for my boys. They learn additional prepositions as the years pass. There are some suggestions for games throughout the different units that would work well in a classroom setting with several kids, but are often easily adapted to working with one or two kids in your home classroom setting.

I have used this program for absolutely years and still love it! My oldest is now 22 and my youngest is in 11. I have always loved English/Grammar and I truly believe this is one of the simplest approaches to learning the parts of speech I have ever seen!! It is not only simple but it makes the most sense!! Learning the prepositions first is truly one of the keys to mastering the parts of speech!!
