Intro to Forensic Science: From a Biblical Worldview
Truth matters. In Intro to Forensic Science: From a Biblical Worldview, your high school teen will explore how forensic scientists uncover evidence, analyze facts, and pursue justice while examining these disciplines through the lens of Scripture. Throughout the course, your teen is challenged to think critically about truth, ethics, human nature, and the responsibility that comes with interpreting evidence.
Designed primarily for juniors and seniors, this full-year course earns one high school science credit and introduces your teen to more than 20 forensic disciplines used in modern criminal investigations. Along the way, your teen will discover how biology, chemistry, genetics, anthropology, botany, toxicology, and other sciences work together to uncover facts and reconstruct events.
Your teen follows the path of an investigation from the crime scene to the courtroom, learning how investigators collect evidence, analyze findings, evaluate competing explanations, and present conclusions. Topics include fingerprint analysis, blood spatter interpretation, trace evidence, soil analysis, toxicology, fire investigation, DNA analysis, facial reconstruction, and forensic anthropology.
Real criminal cases—both famous and lesser-known—help your teen see how forensic science operates in practice. As he examines evidence and competing theories, he learns to distinguish between observation and assumption and to develop habits of careful reasoning.
One of the strengths of this course is its emphasis on both scientific investigation and biblical discernment. Your teen is not simply learning how evidence is gathered and analyzed; they are considering how truth is discovered, how justice is pursued, and how worldview influences the conclusions people draw.
For teens fascinated by crime-solving, science, or the justice system, Intro to Forensic Science provides a rigorous and engaging introduction to a field where careful observation, scientific reasoning, and ethical judgment all matter.
The curriculum includes a full-color student text, teacher guide, worksheets, labs, and a structured five-day schedule averaging about 45 minutes per day. The open-and-go format makes it accessible for independent learners while providing enough guidance for parents who want to stay involved.

How to Use Intro to Forensic Science
- Choose the schedule that works best for your family. With 34 lessons, many students complete one lesson per week, leaving a couple of extra weeks at the end of the school year for review, labs, testing, or catch-up.
- If your teen prefers a daily routine, follow the 180-day schedule included in the Teacher Guide. The lessons are already divided into manageable assignments, making it easy to stay on track throughout the year.
- Plan on spending about 45 minutes per day reading, completing assignments, discussing case studies, and working through labs. The combination of text, worksheets, investigations, and hands-on activities keeps learning varied and engaging.
- Encourage your teen to think beyond simply finding the right answer. As evidence is examined and conclusions are evaluated, discuss how assumptions, bias, and worldview can influence the way people interpret information.
- Most importantly, take time to value the case studies. They provide an opportunity to see biology, chemistry, genetics, and other sciences applied to real situations while exploring the biblical principles of truth, justice, and discernment that run throughout the course.
By the end of the year, your teen will have earned one high school science credit while gaining a deeper understanding of both forensic science and the responsibility that comes with pursuing truth.

would love to have had a science lab kit to go along with this bundle it has been hard finding the materials for labs. which makes it kind of boring to learn without.
