Covering 5,000 years of history in a single school year sounds ambitious. From Adam to Us makes it surprisingly manageable by guiding middle-school students through world history, geography, literature, culture, and a biblical worldview in a single integrated program.
Designed for grades 5–8, this Christian world history curriculum follows a chronological approach from Creation through modern times. Across 150 lessons and 30 units, students explore major civilizations, historical figures, world events, inventions, cultural developments, and global movements while building a framework for understanding how history fits together. The daily lessons combine narrative history with primary sources, photographs, artwork, maps, and literature selections that help bring each era to life. The map and timeline activities do more than fill pages—they help students visualize where events happened and how they fit into the larger flow of history.
Biblical worldview discussions are integrated throughout the program through "Thinking Biblically" sections that encourage students to evaluate historical events and cultural developments through the lens of Scripture.
The complete package includes two full-color hardcover textbooks, Our Creative World, the Map Book, the Timeline Book, and an Answer Key.
