Learning watercolor is hard enough without also trying to draw a perfect whale first.
How to Paint—Watercolour Animals removes that obstacle by providing pre-printed animal outlines so children can focus on learning how watercolor actually behaves on the page.
Across 18 guided lessons, students work through animals like seals, whales, snails, and more while practicing techniques such as blending, layering, texture, wet-on-wet painting, and controlled detail work.
The included materials are designed to keep the process simple. A water brush with a built-in reservoir, mixing tray, sponge, and organized storage case makes setup and cleanup manageable enough for regular use.
Because the outlines are already provided, students often spend less time worrying about mistakes and more time experimenting with color choices, water control, and painting techniques.
The sturdy storage box makes this easy to bring to co-ops, grandparents' houses, waiting rooms, or anywhere painting supplies normally feel like too much trouble.
This is the sort of kit where students frequently finish an animal, immediately flip to the next page, and insist they still have time for one more.

My daughter has absolutely LOVED using her How to Paint Watercolour Animals kit. The instructions are easy to follow and the included water filled paintbrush made painting and clean up simple. She would follow the directions and pre-sketched outline the first time and then the following week would paint one on her own. Great addition to art this year!

I purchased this as part of my son’s fifth grade art curriculum. It is such a nice set. I actually purchased a second set so I could paint alongside him.

Better than the last kit

We picked up a watercolor kit last year and it was not very good. There was not a step by step instruction guide and the level of skill needed was higher than we were at. This animal watercolor kit we perfect. It was small, had instructions and step by step images, stored away in one place, and did not seem intimidating. We are doing this kit first for sure!
