Know Your Body: Set 1
Every heartbeat, every breath, and every thought depends on systems working together behind the scenes. Know Your Body: Set 1 helps your teen explore three of the body's most important systems—the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems—through interactive lessons designed specifically for tweens and teens.
This three-book set includes separate 64-page studies of the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems. Through comics, matching activities, fill-in-the-blank exercises, review games, diagrams, and other hands-on activities, your teen builds a practical understanding of how these systems function and how they work together to keep the body running smoothly.
He learns about topics such as the heart and blood vessels, the lungs and breathing process, neurons and nerve pathways, and the brain's role in coordinating the body's activities. Concepts are introduced in manageable sections and reinforced throughout the lessons, helping him retain important information and develop a stronger understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
The workbook format encourages active participation rather than passive reading. By regularly interacting with the material, your teen strengthens comprehension while building a foundation for future science and health studies.
Whether used independently, as a supplement to a health course, or as part of a homeschool science curriculum, Know Your Body: Set 1 provides an engaging introduction to the systems responsible for circulation, respiration, and communication throughout the body.
Clear, interactive, and easy to use, this set helps teens develop a deeper appreciation for the remarkable ways the human body works every day.
How to Use Know Your Body: Set 1
- Let your teen choose which system to study first—the circulatory, respiratory, or nervous system. Since each booklet stands alone, there's no required order.
- Plan to complete about 7–8 pages per week. At that pace, your teen can work steadily through all three books while still having time to absorb the concepts and complete the activities.
- Encourage your teen to complete the comics, games, diagrams, and review exercises rather than skipping ahead. These interactive elements are designed to reinforce key concepts and improve retention.
- As new topics come up, take a few minutes to discuss how these systems work together. Connecting the heart, lungs, and nervous system helps teens develop a more complete understanding of how the body functions.
- When one booklet is finished, move on to the next system.
By the end of the set, your teen will have a solid introduction to the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems, as well as a stronger foundation for future health and science studies.

Excellent resource!

My kids have worked through Dr. Bonyfied and a human physiology course. I was so glad to find this option to help them learn the systems of the body! They are enjoying it greatly.
