The kit includes 16 prepared slides with a study guide, blank slides, solutions, and many of the additional materials required for the microscope exercises. (See the Details tab for a complete list of contents.) You'll still provide a few common household and grocery items, but the specialized supplies have already been gathered and are ready to use.
As your student completes the microscopy activities, he'll examine specimens up close, strengthen his observation skills, and gain practical experience using a microscope, reinforcing the concepts taught throughout the biology course. The included study guide helps him identify and better understand what he sees through the lens.
Designed specifically for Exploring Creation with Biology, this microscope kit simplifies preparation for the course's laboratory portion while ensuring your student has the specialized materials needed for successful microscope investigations. Note: A microscope is required to use the items contained in this kit. It is not supplied as a part of this kit. You must already own one or purchase one. It should have at least three separate magnifications and a maximum magnification of at least 400x. It must also have a “fine focus,” separate from the “coarse focus.”
