Plus-Plus Isoscapes: Metropolis challenges teens to design and build detailed cityscapes while strengthening spatial reasoning, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking. The kit includes a reusable BOKS (that's Danish for "box") storage container, a durable baseplate, building pieces, and instructions for creating an initial city-inspired model. How to Use Plus-Plus Isoscapes: Metropolis
- Begin by unpacking the BOKS and using the included baseplate as the foundation for the build.The compact storage system keeps all the pieces organized between building sessions.
- Set aside 15–30 minutes each week for building. Some teens will prefer to complete the project in a few focused sessions, while others enjoy gradually refining their cityscape over time.
- Start with the included design or use the QR code to access additional building ideas. Following a model first helps your teen become familiar with the techniques and design possibilities of the Isoscapes system.
- Once the original build is complete, encourage experimentation. Rearrange structures, redesign sections of the city, add new features, or create an entirely original layout. This transition from following instructions to developing original designs is where much of the creative thinking and problem-solving takes place.
- Many teens enjoy keeping their finished cityscape on display and returning to it periodically to make adjustments or try new ideas. Because the pieces can be reconfigured repeatedly, the project continues to evolve long after the first build is finished.
