Science in the Beginning

Science in the Beginning is a Christian elementary science curriculum organized around the six days of creation. Through 90 hands-on lessons, your child will investigate topics such as light, weather, rocks, oceans, plants, animals, the human body, and the solar system while exploring the natural world through a biblical lens.

Organized around the creation account in Genesis, the course introduces scientific concepts through short, conversational lessons filled with colorful illustrations. Complex ideas are presented in an accessible way to elementary learners without sacrificing meaningful content.

Every lesson includes a hands-on activity or experiment. Your child might build a tornado in a bottle, model the solar system, explore how eyes detect light, investigate the rock cycle, or compare the characteristics of different animals. The experiments aren't extras tucked onto the end of the lesson—they're woven into the course, giving your child something to see, touch, test, and discuss nearly every day. Most activities use common household supplies, and an optional lab kit is available for families who prefer additional convenience.

Multi-age families will especially appreciate the three levels of review questions included with every lesson. Younger and older children can explore the same topic together while responding at a level that fits their age and ability.

Optional challenge assignments provide opportunities for deeper investigation, while included tests and answer keys offer additional assessment tools for families who want them.

Written from a Christian worldview, Science in the Beginning encourages children to study creation with both curiosity and appreciation.
