Some of the books in the series have content that is a bit more advanced than others. In particular, Earth Science, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry & Physics are better suited for upper elementary grades.

Love this series of Science Curriculum. If you have done other Apologia Science books be prepared this one is not as hands on. There are fewer experiments but it is still a great series!

Thankful for these books

My 6th grade child completed this book on her own this past school year and really enjoyed it. There was no reminding her to do her science. In fact if anything I would "catch" her spending an inordinate amount of time on her science. She was immersing herself in it. It was a pleasure to have her voluntarily and enthusiastically share with me things she was learning that particularly caught her attention. I recommend this book hands down. The easy reading of the living book style, hands on activities, and convenient addition of the notebooking journal for this volume make it very student friendly.
