NEW 2026 Homeschool Curriculum Kits — Coming Soon!
"It's like Christmas!"
When Timberdoodle meets with a new vendor — whether it's an art kit manufacturer or a website team — we talk about kit launch. Why? Because it's one of the most important days of the year!
"This was our first year. I had bought two other print-yourself curriculums and spent so much time printing and organizing… When I found Timberdoodle it was such a sigh of relief. It was all real products, books, and games — everything we needed. When the box arrived it was like Christmas. We got our whole family together to unbox it and I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders having everything I needed." — Molly
What's Actually Changing in Our 2026 Homeschool Curriculum Kits?
Well now, that's a Launch Day question. ;) But if you've been around for a while, you know some of the drill.
We spend all year finding and testing new items — from math programs to art kits and all sorts of thinking skills tools. Some don't pass. Others merit further consideration but have supply issues. A handful look amazing, but when actually tested they fall flat. And then the remaining few (well, actually there are dozens of new items — it's just few in comparison to the large quantity we evaluated!) are in the running for consideration in the kit lineup.
At the same time, various 2025 kit items hit availability snags, extreme costs, or were frankly superseded by something new and improved.
Then each item from each kit is evaluated over and over. Does this scope really work? As we teach this to our kids, do we think waiting a year would yield a better grasp of this subject? If we did watercolor this year, should we look at carving or pottery next year?
By the time our new kits launch, many, many hours of research, scoping, and discussion have gone into every single decision on the page. Which means that every year, the kits are truly our best ever. And we are truly SO EXCITED to introduce them to you!
Homeschool Courses Designed for Independent Learning
Two of the original Timberdoodlers are now single moms by adoption. We know what it feels like to both work a job and teach your kids. This year we're unveiling a massive scheduler upgrade designed to make that easier than ever to actually implement.
Real users helped us scope and build a version that allows you to grant your student access to check off his own work, for your older crew. Or it lets you print a daily list with room for stickers for your youngers.
We're huge fans of helping kids learn how to learn. So we scaffold this deliberately from a young age — you put in the last piece and then we can do your sticker page — with the goal that by high school, you are the coach and not the teacher. There to assist, but not having to decipher every math term with your student and explain it.
Save the Date!
We're building towards an April 15th launch date. That's still tentative while we line up the last few ducks — but it's the target!
What Happens on Launch Day?
Launch Day is when everything goes live at once. New videos drop, walking you through every homeschool curriculum kit in detail — what's in them, why we picked each item, and how it fits into your school year. These are made by the original Timberdoodlers, now grown and teaching their own kids.
And for the second time, we're hosting our launch party right here online — so you can be among the first to see the 2026 kits in action.
Giveaways and Prizes
We're giving away an entire year's homeschool curriculum — plus one great STEM kit or tool from each grade, chosen by you. (For example: from the 8th grade kit, you might enter to win the course that teaches you how to fly real airplanes.)
Since both the kit and the other prizes are chosen by you, it's hard to put a dollar value on it. But at least $2,000 in prizes, and free USA shipping is included.
(We won't be running giveaways on Facebook this year — too many scammers. Keep an eye on your email and our site instead.)
Our Best Promotion of the Year
This is the best deal of the year, because if you're willing to preorder, we'd like to reward you for that! This year's special will be released on Launch Day, but we expect it to be very similar to last year's:
- Purchase an Elite Kit — or a custom kit of similar value — and receive a $125 Timberdoodle gift certificate
- Complete Kits earn a $75 gift certificate
The gift certificate typically arrives within a few business days after your purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I start?
Whether it's your first year homeschooling, you're looking to ditch what didn't work and start over, or you already know you love Math-U-See and All About Reading and just want to see what's new — we have you covered.
"I was feeling overwhelmed and burnt out. I had pieced together materials from different places, and while it looked good on paper, it felt disjointed in real life. I was constantly researching, second-guessing gaps, and spending more time planning than teaching." — YM
We offer homeschool curriculum kits for every stage — from Birth through 12th grade.
Can I customize my 2026 homeschool curriculum kit?
Yes. Every family is different. Perhaps your child reads 2 grades ahead of his peers but needs more time with 3rd grade math. You can absolutely build a custom kit that qualifies for our launch promotion. (If it helps, we calculate equivalent value by total price — and if you have any questions on specifics, just ask our team.)
Can I swap items and still get the gift certificate?
Yes. Customize your order to include exactly what you need — as long as your custom kit reaches the value of a standard Complete or Elite kit during the launch window, you'll qualify.
Will old kits still be available?
No. But also yes. Old kits won't be directly available, and pricing will be changed to reflect 2026 costs. However, if the 2026 kit now includes a turtle art set and your wolf-loving child was really hoping for the wolf-themed set (and if our supplies allow!), you will be able to swap it in our custom kit builder.
Can I reuse my kit for a younger sibling?
Absolutely! We offer refill kits with an additional copy of all student resources. So you'll get new art kits and workbooks, but not the reusable items.
How can I see what's in the kits before launch?
Great question — and we're trying something new this year. We will be leaving the 2025 kits on our site (no longer available for purchase, of course) so that those of you who first meet Timberdoodle in early April aren't left high and dry. While the new items won't be visible, you'll be able to see what's in the current kits, much of which will be returning.
Will kits be on my ESA or charter school platform?
Yes! Step Up For Students and ClassWallet will be ready to go on Launch Day. In fact, if you want to use your April 1st Step Up funding on 2026 kits, those are already sitting there for preorder — but full details won't be live until the 15th. For other platforms, we are making every effort to onboard and have everything ready. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have a specific one you'd like us to connect with or verify our status.
Not sure you need a whole kit?
Stay tuned anyway — the new items will release individually, and the giveaways will be open to anyone!
