We asked the families who used our 9th grade kit how long their students spent on "school." Most of the families worked on academics 4 or 5 days a week and spent 3-5 hours a day specifically on Timberdoodle materials. It is common for families to spend more or less time than that, so don't stress if your schedule doesn't exactly match up. And, of course, the time you spend will be greatly impacted by how in-depth your student takes their studies, their learning approach, how distractible they allow themselves to be, and much more.

This is the first curriculum kit I have ever purchased and was instantly in love with it! My daughter had been attending public school while my younger son (with a laundry list of health issues) was home with me being homeschooled. When the covid epidemic hit and everything was transferred to remote learning with video lectures and lessons via the computer my daughter was quite unhappy. Once it was time to begin high school she decided to stay home in order to not bring any illnesses home to her brother. She was very clear with what type of homeschool program she was looking for and was very adamant that there be BOOKS, not computer lessons. I was researching for a long time and talking with other homeschool parents when I finally stumbled upon Timberdoodle. My daughter was incredibly happy with the mix of fun, creativity and learning. My son and I were so jealous of her kit that even though I had books and workbooks already lined up for him through 7th grade we ditched that path and started using a Timberdoodle curriculum kit for 2nd grade. I highly recommend going the extra mile and purchasing the elite kit to sprinkle in art and games. We have really enjoyed it and will be continual customers.

9TH Grade non-religious elite set

This curriculum is well worth the money. I was quite hesitant to purchase, but I and my son are so happy to have done so. To say it's well put together would be a vast understatement. He finds it super challenging in a very good way. The bite sized daily lessons that we have broken it down to are perfect for us. We did find that trying to stick with the breakdown of what should be done weekly was a bit too much for us. We tend to school all year long, so taking it down a notch was no big deal. I also love that he can work almost independently. Besides helping with answering some questions regarding new concepts the only thing I assist him with is the Literature. It could be done alone, but it is set up for a teacher to help. We have found that way to be best for understanding and also because we find it quite enjoyable to do together. Overall, we couldn't be happier with this program.
