Jump 1
Jump 1 turns early math into a hoppin’ good time! Kids race to play cards that are +1 or –1, with wild frog cards leaping in to shake things up. It’s fast, fun, and secretly educational.

2026 Kindergarten Curriculum Kit
Jump 1 is a fast-paced card game that helps young children practice adding and subtracting 1 through simple, repeatable gameplay.
Players take turns placing a card that is one more or one less than the previous number. The rule is easy to learn, but it keeps everyone paying attention as the sequence changes.
Frog cards add a twist. They can stand in for any number, giving players a way to shift the game and stay in play a little longer.
Because each turn depends on the last, children are constantly thinking through “one more” or “one less” without stopping to work it out separately. The repetition builds familiarity with those patterns throughout the game. Rounds are quick, making it easy to play more than once or to fit into a short window of time.
Children who enjoy games with clear rules and quick turns stay engaged longer here than with worksheet-style practice.

Jump 1: A Hoppin' Good Time!
Jen C.
We LOVE Jump 1! It was a game we had in our collection before we discovered Timberdoodle, and I was so excited to see it included in the Elite Kindergarten Kit. It's been such fun to play. It's practically the card game 'Speed', but the cards are much more exciting for kids (and for me, a grown-up, if I may say so myself). It's really helped develop quick number skills and I am considering tweaking the rules to include skip counting to extend the educational value! We love it so much. Thanks for offering this great game for families!

4 year old and 7 year old loved it.

This is a very simple game but after one play I noticed improvement in number recognition and counting down. Both my 7-year old and 4-year-old said they loved it after playing two games in a row. They both wanted to keep playing.

Easy Fun Number Learning Game
Karolyn B.
We appreciated the two different instructions to add some variety to the game. This helped my student learn higher and lower values. We played with friends and family.

great game
Tabitha E.
This game was great for practicing before and after numbers, but also for following instructions. My daughter struggled to remember to make sure she had five cards in her hands at the end of her turn.

Great math practice

This is a very simple concept, yet very good practice for math. We've enjoyed playing this game a lot.

Small learning curve
Sierra O.
This was a challenge at the beginning; once our son got the hang of it, it began to lose his challenge and by the end of the school year is “too easy” for him. We put our own spin on it and he still has fun playing.

Had to give it time
Jen
My student wasn’t ready for this at the beginning of the year. Took some time to warm up to it and understand it, but now it’s a well liked game. The frogs are cute and changes up the game, so that’s what makes it fun and different than other card games like this.
