Real Science-4-Kids Book 5 takes students one step deeper by asking a question many science programs never address: How do we know what we know?
Up to this point, students have learned what science is, how scientists investigate questions, how scientific ideas apply to everyday life, and how different concepts connect. Book 5 zooms out and examines the process of scientific knowledge itself.
Students explore questions such as how scientists determine whether an explanation is supported by evidence, how models help us understand things we cannot directly observe, how data is interpreted, and why scientific understanding sometimes changes when new evidence is discovered.
One of the strengths of Book 5 is that it encourages students to think beyond individual facts.
