Science Lessons and Investigations - Grade 6

Sixth grade turns science into a full-scale "how it all works" tour. Fourteen NGSS-aligned units open with life science—cells, photosynthesis, heredity, biodiversity, and life’s history—then move into Earth science with seasons, tectonics, geologic timelines, water systems, and climate. Physical science wraps it up with thermal energy, matter interactions, forces, motion, and waves.

Each unit’s 5E structure builds from a starter challenge to hands-on exploration, concise readings with real-world photos, vocabulary checks, and a final project or activity. Teacher guidance and an answer key are included.
