This step by step series was great for my high functioning autistic son who struggles with hand motor skills. Enough of a challenge without being too hard or too complicated. We picked up the other books in the series and the people one is helping him draw his comics in a layer timber doodle kit.

My son has enjoyed working through this book. It is a great independent activity for him to pick up while I am working with another sibling. The directions are easy to follow, and he will often use this book to create larger works of art on other sheets of paper or posters. He can also be challenged to use the guide to change the drawing by size, orientation or form (ie tiger to another large cat).
