Let's face it, we all love Usborne books. This book is no exception, it has great step by step instructions and kids love it. One of my 4 year old son's favorite books! Great to use at Dr's appts, adding art to your homeschool day, or just another way to foster a love for drawing and art. Highly recommend.
Our little one has really taken an interest in drawing and this book has easy to follow instructions for even the most challenged artist. She enjoys the fun items and easy step by step instructions.
My son is your a type A, rule following child. He even won't play with LEGOs unless he has instructions, so this has been perfect for him. He loves the step by step instructions and then allows himself to create something of his own on the second page, which is a really big deal for him. We love this book!
Both our kids are concrete thinkers and really struggled with drawing for fun. We've seen huge changes since introducing this book. Each object is broken down into 4-6 easy to follow steps and the variety of options has been so much fun to explore with our kids. Interestingly to us, the books format of breaking the object into shapes and details has taught our son how to follow that process with concepts not included in the book. Highly recommend
My 6 year old loves to draw, but would get discouraged when she didn't know how to draw something. This book has been perfect to boost her confidence.
