All About Spelling Level 5 helps your child master more advanced spelling patterns through the same multisensory, step-by-step approach that makes the series so effective. Designed for students who have completed Levels 1–4, this open-and-go program builds confidence by teaching not just how to spell words, but why English spelling works the way it does.
Across more than 30 carefully sequenced lessons, your child learns seven new phonograms, six ways to spell the /er/ sound, unaccented syllables, words ending in -sion, -ct, and -ex, the "I before E" generalization, adding multiple suffixes, irregular plurals, and other advanced spelling concepts. Each lesson focuses on a single rule or pattern, making new skills easier to understand, practice, and remember.
Like every level in the series, All About Spelling Level 5 combines letter tiles, word building, activity pages, and guided instruction to engage visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. Instead of memorizing disconnected word lists, your child develops a deeper understanding of spelling patterns that transfer to new words with greater confidence.
If you've already completed the earlier levels, you can continue using your existing letter tiles and review box. Simply add the Level 5 Teacher's Manual and Student Packet to continue your child's spelling journey.

How to Use All About Spelling – Level 5
- Plan on about 20 minutes a day, five days a week. Short, consistent lessons help your child master each concept without feeling overwhelmed.
- Begin each lesson with a quick review using the phonogram and word cards from your Review Box. A few minutes of review strengthens long-term retention and prepares your child for the new concept.
- Teach one lesson at a time, introducing just one new spelling rule or pattern before moving on. Build words with the letter tiles, then reinforce the lesson with the activity pages and spelling exercises in the Student Packet.
- If your child is ready for an extra challenge, complete the Advanced Application activities. These optional exercises provide additional practice with longer words and more complex spelling patterns.
- Track your child's progress as you complete each lesson. Celebrating steady growth helps maintain motivation while building the confidence needed for increasingly advanced spelling.

All you need for the next level of All About Spelling is the Student & Teacher Set. We have additional options for families who use this program with more than one student.
The Letter Tiles app is not included, but you can purchase it for your compatible iPad, Android tablet, or Amazon Fire in your device's store. Don't forget that this app is not required if you purchase the Deluxe Set; it is a digital alternative to the physical Letter Tiles that are included!
Both students can share! If you prefer to have both children complete all tile activities simultaneously, you may wish to purchase an additional set. However, this is not required.

I really like using this curriculum. The teacher’s manual basically spells out everything, down to what to say. I like that it teaches the “rules” of how to spell words, not just memorizing lists of words. We usually work on the individual words throughout the week, then end with the spelling sentences as a”test.” The sentences not only contain the spelling words from that lesson, but a mix of words from previous lessons/ levels as review. My son actually likes writing the sentences because a lot of them are silly, which makes it fun.

Great spelling program
