    We shall see…

So far, I like the set up of this spelling. We are coming from explode the code. This seems to make sense for kinesthetic learners. The option of a four day week is perfect for us because that’s how we’ve always done it!

    Son Hates It

    Anonymous

We have been using Spelling You See since Kindergarten. I don't really think my son is learning anything now, and he has started to hate the subject. Will be changing our curriculum to All About Spelling.

    Engaging and Repetitive!

    Lirpa

We enjoy using Spelling You See as a supplement since public school is just a list that we practice. We also use a bit of All About Spelling.

    Not learning

    Brittany O.

I didn't like this curriculum. I found my daughter was rushing through writing everything and not really learning to spell just rushing through it fast.

    Wonderful content!

    Kimberly S.

I love spelling you see and am continually impressed with the content. My 3rd grader struggles with spelling and this has been a help in catching him up. I plan on using the curriculum throughout the summer and thanks to how it is set up it won’t be for very long (10-15min per day). Sometimes we don’t finish an entire lesson but shorter times have helped keep my son interested. My only complaint would be the amount of writing. I have modified in taking some of that work and making it verbal work (have my son say rather than write). Writing is a struggle so cutting that by half has helped.

    Spelling you see

I had the same issue with this one as I did with the lower level and my younger child. It's a lot of writing. Some children are natural writers...some are not. This is not for children who are not just naturally drawn to writing and drawing and all things pencil.

    Son loved this spelling curriculum

    Sarah R.

We saw our son improve from averaging D's and hating to write to A's and B's! This was our first year Homeschooling so we relied on Timberdoodle to help us pick and this was a winner. He loved writing about interesting subjects that kept his attention and made spelling enjoyable for the first time.

    Love This!!

    Sheri

We have been using SUS since the beginning starting with level A. It has been very helpful for our little one both improving her spelling and handwriting. We have been enjoying how this level begins to incorporate History into the spelling process. It is very easy to open and go for the teacher. Very user friendly.

    Highly recommend

    Katie R.

I have been teaching with Spelling You See for the past four years. It is a low time commitment for teacher and student with great results. Level D is a nice way to incorporate a little history and handwriting into your day as well.
