Mathematical Reasoning G (Grade 6)
Mathematical Reasoning Level G is designed for students who are ready to move beyond simply finding answers and begin thinking more deeply about how mathematics works. Across more than 440 full-color pages, sixth graders tackle multi-step problem solving, algebraic thinking, geometry, data analysis, equations, graphs, and real-world applications that require careful reasoning.
Rather than emphasizing memorization alone, Level G teaches students to analyze information, recognize patterns, evaluate strategies, and explain their thinking. Visual models, charts, diagrams, and thought-provoking challenges encourage students to make connections between concepts and apply what they know in new situations.
The spiral format continually revisits previously learned skills while introducing more advanced material, helping students retain knowledge and build confidence as they progress. Clear instructions, engaging practice, and a complete answer key make the program well-suited for independent learners while keeping parent involvement to a minimum.
As mathematical concepts become more complex, Level G continues to strengthen the reasoning skills that support success not only in future math courses but also in science, technology, and everyday problem-solving.

Great for those who don’t love math!
Ryan T.
My son’s least favorite subject is math, but this math curriculum is changing that! The lessons are short, but engaging. They are very straight-forward. My son does not like busy work, so he’s enjoying this curriculum. It is complete in itself and doesn’t cost a fortune either. The lessons are colorful as well, so that is another plus!

Wishes there were more levels!
Pamela C.
My son used Mathematical Reasoning in kindergarten and is now in his 6th-grade year (the final level for this curriculum). We've used it as the spine of his math lessons, supplementing with Keys to and Calculator drills. There isn't any busy work in this curriculum, and the problems are often self-correcting through a game or puzzle answer key. My son has a solid understanding of math and does quite well on his yearly testing. He wishes there were more levels!

The Basics of Critical Thinking
Melissa
We have been using Math Reasoning books for years! My son really enjoys the colorful and creative math problems. And one of my favorite parts of this math curriculum is that it doesn't just cover one method and drop it and move to the next. As you work through the book it will circle back to previous math lessons and gradually build in difficulty. This book is thick and can last the whole school year.
