I was using a workbook curriculum set for my son with a few supplements from Timberdoodle until last year, when we switched to Timberdoodle for everything except English. This year we got the whole curriculum kit. I find that as my kids get older, they need more that the workbook set could provide. I love the fact that I can customize the curriculum kit for our needs and budget. For 6th grade we are doing Math U See, Spelling U See, Mosdos Pearl, Uncle Sam and You, Science in the Industrial Age, and A Reason for Handwriting. His favorite and mine is Uncle Sam and You. I love all the Notgrass history curriculum and so do both of my kids. And I love the customizable element of the kits. I can get exactly what I need and nothing that I don’t (or that I can’t afford).

I love that we are able to customize these kits! I chose to include most of the suggestions, but I switched out math and some of the game suggestions. I am highly impressed with this kit and look forward to using it this school year with my 6th grader. He’s never been this excited to start homeschooling!

Timberdoodle for the win!

The kit customized lets you choose which curriculum you need and don’t need. The online customizer for the schedule- I wish I could choose a two or three day week, but alas, it only works for a 5 day week.

I am starting to homeschool this year and jumped on with the elite kit for 6th grade. My daughter insisted on starting "school" as soon as we received it. It has been really wonderful. There are a lot of fun things for her to do to break up the harder things. She hasn't liked school the last few years, but now wakes up every morning ready to go! I mainly bought this because it looked fun and like something I would have loved as a kid. Secondly, because I am a homesteader with other little children and don't have time to put together different curriculums. Thank you Timberdoodle!
