CursiveLogic: A Smarter Way to Learn Cursive
Learning cursive doesn't have to mean mastering 26 letters individually. With CursiveLogic, your child can learn cursive in as little as 10 weeks by focusing on the patterns that connect letters rather than treating each one as a separate skill.
Instead of introducing letters in alphabetical order, CursiveLogic teaches four core shape families. Letters that share the same stroke patterns are practiced together, making it easier for students to recognize similarities, build muscle memory, and develop a smooth writing rhythm. Color-coded lessons reinforce the patterns visually, while the multisensory approach supports visual, auditory, and hands-on learners.
This all-in-one workbook includes step-by-step instructions, practice exercises, guidance on pencil grip and posture, and specialized tips for left-handed students. Students gradually move from tracing to independent writing while maintaining proper letter formation and flow.
Why learn cursive?
Cursive remains a useful life skill. It allows students to read handwritten notes, historical documents, family letters, and signatures while developing handwriting fluency. Many students discover that cursive becomes faster and more comfortable than printing once the letter patterns become automatic.
By teaching letters through patterns rather than memorization, CursiveLogic helps students understand how cursive works, not just how individual letters look.

CursiveLogic has been an amazing resource for teaching cursive in a simple and effective way. The approach is very easy to follow, and it breaks letters down into logical groups that make learning feel less overwhelming for kids.

So simple to use (that I wish I had it when I was young!)
Danielle D.
We began using CursiveLogic in 3rd grade, and I really appreciated its clear and logical approach. A few major highlights that make this curriculum stand out from others: It starts with basic swoops and curves, making it very intuitive. It’s easy to teach and excellent for independent learning. After the initial instruction book, the follow-up copywork is content-rich—for example, the 5th-grade level focuses on Speeches and Writing in American History. Also, the amount of time you put into it each day is only a few minutes. And, kiddos start to see results quickly, which is very rewarding for them. After a few lessons, I write a word or two in cursive for encouragement. My boys feel so proud that they can read it. (It's kind of like decoding!). We are in our 3rd year of cursive, and even though we aren't homeschooling this year (after 7 years of homeschooling), I'm still having my boys do this curriculum at home.

Great tool for teaching cursive
Andrea
My daughter really wanted to learn cursive and this book was great. It really breaks it down to make it easier to learn, write, and read. Some days felt like a little too much for her so we just did less some days. She writes cursive very well now.

Best cursive lessons I have come across. I didn't have to really do much. My son just took it upon himself to do all the pages. It was easy and hs great explanations. He loves it!

Comprehensive

This is a very comprehensive curriculum for cursive learning and very similar to how I teach cursive and art lettering in elementary art classes. I like how it starts with basic swoops and curves before going right into the letters. Early development friendly.

Solid curriculum

I admit, I was hesitant to spend this much on a cursive workbook when there are so many on the market for dirt cheap. Now 2 weeks in, I’m convinced!! This thing is awesome! My 9 year old boy hates all things handwritten but he thoroughly enjoys this! I love the step by step, artful approach to it. I love that it’s broken down into manageable daily lessons. I love seeing my kids’ sense of accomplishment when they see how pretty they are writing. It’s been worth every penny.

Love this

This is has been the most fun my son has had with penmanship. It has also translated into his print so that he is forming the print and cursive letter correctly.
