Mathematical Reasoning C (Grade 2)
Level C is where math shifts from learning individual skills to connecting them. Throughout 272 engaging pages, second graders tackle regrouping, introductory division, arrays, graphing, estimation, measurement, and multi-step problem solving while continuing to strengthen their number sense.
What sets Mathematical Reasoning apart is its focus on thinking. Instead of simply practicing procedures, your child is asked to analyze, compare, predict, classify, and reason through problems. The result is a student who understands why an answer works, not just how to get it.
Lessons are broken into manageable activities that can be completed without fatigue, and previously learned concepts reappear throughout the book to reinforce long-term retention. A glossary introduces and reviews mathematical vocabulary, helping students become comfortable with the language they'll encounter in future math studies.

Excellent supplement
Tricia
This is a perfect supplement for the online math curriculum we use. It covers the few topics that we'd otherwise miss and gives just enough opportunity for written math.

Colorful and fun

The curriculum bright and colorful and has lots of fun activities. As we move into things that really need to be taught, I feel it’s more a supplement.

I really like this curriculum.
Kim P.
For us, this curriculum is a good balance of workbook and critical thinking. We like it’s variety and spiraling topics, which include fun puzzles. It is quick and easy to implement.

The concepts in this book are great. The pages are colorful and keep it fun. BUT we have found my daughter does better with mastering concepts before moving on. This workbook tends to jump around too much for her. She prefers to use math U-See. I think it comes down to what your learner would prefer! Both great options.

Mathematical Reasoning Level C
Sawyer, a.
Mathematical Reasoning is my favorite lesson. It is lots of fun and I love the different kinds of lessons. Except the "Explain Your Reasoning." I don't like to write sentences in math. But the rest of it is great!
