2026 Third-Grade Curriculum Kit
Multiplication is one of the most important building blocks in mathematics, and Math-U-See Gamma helps students develop a deep understanding of how it works. Rather than simply memorizing facts, students learn to see multiplication as a logical extension of the concepts they have already mastered.
In Gamma, your child will progress from repeated addition to multiplication facts and multi-digit multiplication. Through visual models, manipulatives, and a mastery-based sequence, students learn not only how to multiply but also why multiplication works. Strong emphasis is placed on place value, helping students build confidence as they tackle increasingly complex problems.
Beyond multiplication, students will explore area, measurement, money, time, estimation, data interpretation, and real-world word problems. These topics provide meaningful opportunities to apply multiplication skills while strengthening overall mathematical understanding.
Like all Math-U-See levels, Gamma introduces concepts one at a time and encourages mastery before moving forward. Video instruction, hands-on learning, and incremental practice help students build both accuracy and confidence while developing lasting mathematical understanding.
Instructional videos and teacher resources are accessed through Math-U-See's Essential Plan. Each subscription includes 2 course credits, supports up to 5 student seats, and provides access to activated levels for one year.
Designed for students who have mastered addition and subtraction, Math-U-See Gamma provides a strong foundation in multiplication while preparing learners for the fractions, division, and higher-level concepts that follow.
(Need help picking a level? We’ve got placement tests ready for you.)

Math-U-See has transitioned from lifetime access to a one-year subscription for its digital resources, including instructional videos and the online teacher manual.
This new subscription provides digital access for two levels and up to five students. Depending on your family’s needs, this may offer more flexibility than the previous level-by-level lifetime access model.
One of the strengths of this plan is its flexibility. Your students are not locked into a single level. If a student finishes a level early or needs to go back and review an earlier one, you can swap a course credit to a different level right from your dashboard, up to once every 30 days. Because the plan includes two credits, a family with two students in different levels can often cover both with one subscription. When a student is ready to move up, you simply purchase the physical materials for the next level and swap the credit. As long as your subscription is active, there is no new subscription to buy to keep going.
For more information, view our 1-Year Essential Plan Subscription Access page.

We love Math-U-See! My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD and really struggles with math. We’ve tried other programs, but ended up going back to Math-U-See, and it seems to click for her better than others. Books came as described. Thanks!

Math U See has always been a strong program in my opinion. The blocks are so easy to use and understand. And the videos are really helpful. My only wish was that the workbook had a bit of color or a doodle now and then because both my kids have stated it’s “boring” but they do like the blocks. Also I don’t like the way they number their problems, sometimes the number looks like it’s part of the actual problem and have been confusing.

This class was easy to explain to my kid multiplications with multiples digits. Normally, he has trouble with math but this class was very good to him.

We've been using Math-U-See from the beginning. My two younger siblings used it growing up; they are very different people, one highly analytical and one highly creative, but Math-U-See worked great for both of them. It's also working great for both my older kids. (My 3 year old isn't officially using it yet.)

Math-U-See Gamma is GREAT!
Miranda D.
I used Math-U-See with my son and now I am using it with my daughter. They both have done well with the structure of the program. They enjoy using the blocks and love watching the videos. The videos help me to help them understand the material- sometimes it helps to have someone other than a parent explain it. I highly recommend the Math-U-See program!

Good Math Curriculum
Shinji B.
We’ve been using Math-U-See for two years and it’s an easy curriculum to follow. However, there are times when I’ve had to explain concepts differently than they are taught in the video.

We love this math

We love Math U See. I have 2 children that have completed Gamma and I plan to have the rest of my children do it as well. I love the simplicity of watching the instruction video and being able to do as many worksheets as necessary for my children to master the concept.

My Favorite Math
Tasha G.
Math-U-See is my favorite math curriculum ever! The order they put things into makes so much sense and really makes math easier to comprehend. The blocks make it easy for visual learners as well. Gamma has proven to be right in line with the earlier books and is making multiplication a breeze for my 7 year old. I truly wish I had this when I was a kid, I am even learning some tricks that help me!
