2020 Eighth-Grade Curriculum Kit
(Free Ground Shipping on your entire order when you purchase 2020 Eighth-Grade Curriculum Kit)
This year you will love helping your child continue building his language, math, and thinking skills. He will study physical science, the Middle Ages, and aviation. With creative art, accessible Shakespeare, and more hands-on materials that develop logic and spatial reasoning, this year will be a year packed with happy memories for both of you!
We asked parents who used our Eighth-Grade Kit how long their student spent on "school." Families estimated that they worked 3-5 hours a day for 4-5 days a week using items in their Timberdoodle Kit. That variation is likely to be impacted by how in-depth you take your child's studies, what your child's learning approach is, how distractible he is, and much more. You’ll be able to plan yours to work best for you with your access to the online Timberdoodle Scheduler, included with your kit. Make sure you allow yourself and your child some time to find your own rhythm!

After using a traditional school style boxed curriculum for 9 years we took the leap to Timberdoodle. Wow were we surprised at how very fun school can be. I’ve seen a new spark for learning in our child! Just the right amount of book work and hands on! And being able to customize it is just the icing on the cake!
The online scheduler is super fun once you get it all figured out! I enjoyed being able to tweak it, customize it and add in other subjects and activities Very helpful in planning our day and even seeing how the year plots out.
What an amazing curriculum. This is our family first time homeschooling our kids and Timberdoodle was recommended by one of our friends and we are super happy!! I love how their curriculum manual explains every single detail and it makes super easy to understand how to use it!
I love that the kit can be customized, so that my 6th grader and 8th grader can do some of their subjects together! That is the best part of the custom option! However, the 8th grade guide that explains how to use the curriculum included in the kit only covered half of the items we ended up purchasing and I was left with zero guidance on how to schedule them. I would have like to have at least a loose leaf explanation page for the items we purchased.
Also, UNCLE SAM AND ME is a curriculum designed for 5th to 8th grades, yet it was not even an option on the online scheduler, unless you add it in.
Bottom line, if you are unorganized and doing multiply grades like me, the customized option has its obstacles.
We have been doing the curriculum for about 4 weeks now and I really love how everything is together in one kit. My only complaint for me as a first time home school mom would be that I would love a breakdown of a day by day schedule to help guide me in making sure everything is done and that I am teaching them the material that will help them to be successful. I will definitely be looking at Timberdoodle again next year.
