At Night Scratch Cards
Scratch art is a type of engraving where an artist scratches through dark ink to uncover a colored layer beneath. Now the French company Djeco has taken scratch art to a whole new level with these original, display-worthy designs.
Follow the directions and embellish parts of the creative scratch artboards with simple zentangle-like patterns. In other places, larger areas of the boards are scratched off to reveal hidden surprises. With the nighttime-themed Djeco At Night, your child will scratch away the surface to uncover exquisite glow in the dark nightlife designs.
Djeco At Night includes four cards featuring glow-in-the-dark nightlife designs, one scratch tool, and a full-color instruction booklet filled with inspiring design ideas. Djeco At Night will boost both your child’s fine motor and visual discernment skills.
Age Recommendation: 6-11 Years
CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
It really helps develop fine motor skills!
We love love loved this! My son gets bored of drawing and coloring. This gives him another medium in art to try. I use to love scratch art as a kid, and it seems he does too! He asks to do this all the time. I may need to order another one!
Daughter loves it.
Fun scratch cards!
My kids were so excited to see these listed and insisted they wanted to try them this year. Overall, I think we like them. The kit is easy to understand, you're given four pictures with outlines and a stick to scratch off the blue layer allowing glow in the dark lines to come through and detail the picture. They really do glow well, and the mechanics work as expected. I wish there had been more lines or suggestions on where to scratch off instead of just imagination as my oldest finds himself a little paralyzed with a free for all approach.
We are delighted that your children were excited to try this kit! Did you happen to see the small booklet that comes with the pictures? It shows in a couple of pages per picture, which part to scratch off next and what pattern to add to your design. Perhaps this is the piece you were looking for to complete this learning experience?
