Every one of our curriculum kits from preschool through 12th grade includes art, and drawing comes up in most of them, taught one step at a time. The Step-By-Step Drawing Book in 2nd grade breaks animals and vehicles into simple shapes, and Simply Draw with Bob Parsons, our exclusive course in 7th grade, adds nearly three hours of video lessons on shading and proportion.
For art history, Have I Got a Story For You! gives 2nd through 5th grade a short video course on one period each year, starting with the Renaissance. For something more hands-on, the Soapstone Carving Kits give an older child a pre-shaped stone animal to file and polish into a finished carving.
